Who was Harvey Parker?

The body of a man was recovered from the River Thames near the place where a 20 year old missing reveler was last seen, police said.

In a statement issued earlier today, the Metropolitan Police said officers were alerted to reports of a body in the river yesterday.

The RNLI informed officers around 11:51 a.m. about the body, which was found near the Embankment, Westminster.

The police Maritime Support Unit was dispatched to retrieve the body, and the death is currently being treated as inexplicable.

A formal identification has not yet been carried out on the body but detectives involved in the search for the missing Harvey Parker have been alerted.

A family liaison officer has also informed Mr. Parker’s family of the events, and a report is currently being compiled for the coroner.

Detective Chief Inspector Lucy O’Connor said: “Unfortunately, a body has been recovered from the Thames near where Harvey was last seen. We are providing Harvey’s family with all available information.”

In today’s statement, Detective Chief Inspector Lucy O’Connor of the South Central Command Unit said: “ Sadly, a body has been recovered from the Thames near where Harvey was last seen.

CCTV footage

CCTV footage showed Parker walking down Craven Street and then south to the Embankment, and he has not been seen since.

A friend said the York University music student had been to a Little Simz concert in Brixton, south London, before heading to the nightclub.

Police said there was nothing to suggest someone else was involved.

Officers from the Met’s marine support unit recovered the body.

On Wednesday, Metropolitan Police said investigators had seen CCTV near the Golden Jubilee Bridge and believe Parker, who is a member of the reception staff at the Royal Stratford East Theater, may have entered the water there.

The force said there was nothing to suggest that someone else was involved.
