Law enforcement officers searched DeVuono’s home and said they seized about $900,000 in cash and a ledger showing more than $1.5 million in profits from the scheme, which began in November 2021.

“I hope this sends a message to others who are considering gaming the system that they will get caught and that we will enforce the law to the fullest,” Tierney said in a statement with other officials.

Investigation

“Since our preliminary investigation,there are flaws in the [prosecutors’] investigation and legal impediments to how the case came about,” his Michael Alber told the New York Daily News.

The revelation comes shortly after parents marched in a parental rights rally on Long Island recently, where many walked their children out of school to protest the wearing of masks.

Additionally, New York Governor Kathy Hochul, 63, made fraudulent vaccination cards. Vaccination card forgery will now be classified as a misdemeanor in the state, and using a computer to alter immunization cards will now be classified as a felony.
