But Ugo’s Rumba to leave the door open for Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, and Silk Sonic wasn’t enough to keep hm on the show.

Judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke chose to save Rhys, and Shirley Ballas added that she would have made the same decision.

Craig said,

Craig said, ‘I just want to say that I have the utmost respect for every celebrity who is brave enough to come on this show and show their heart and soul to the nation, it takes guts.’

Anton added: ‘Well, very often it turns out that dancing seems to instill something in couples and they have produced their best performances.

Ugo, best known as an expert on A Question Of Sport, told presenter Tess Daly: ‘I loved it. It’s an absolute privilege to be on this show and all I wanted to do every week is improve a little bit and I have.

He went on to thank  his choreographer Oti for ‘putting up with it’, before wishing his fellow contestants good luck.

“To the Judges,

“To the judges, Craig, I think it is very important to say that if you are willing to accept positive comments, you must also accept criticism, so thank you for all your comments,” he concluded.

Oti added: ‘I’m here right now feeling very, very grateful. I am very grateful to be associated with you.

‘Thank you for inviting me as a teacher, as a trainer. To say that I work on the best show in the whole country, with the best celebrities, is a privilege and I am very grateful to [Ugo], thank you, thank you, thank you. ‘

He comes after he was forced to withdraw from the show last week due to a back injury.

The rugby player told his Twitter followers in a heartfelt post: ‘Unfortunately I won’t be able to dance this weekend on the show.

Medical Professionals

“I have a history of back problems that has always been treated under the guidance of medical professionals. Unfortunately this has been causing me some unwanted problems this week! ‘

Ugo concluded that he was ‘devastated’ not to return to the dance floor this weekend with Oti.

“Wishing all the other contestants the best of luck and I will be cheering them on from home,” concluded the star in his thread.

Following his long-awaited return, Craig had no sympathy for him, who told Ugo that his dance “lacked musicality” and was “stiff and heavy.”

Shirley noted that Ugo was ‘a bit out of line’, and Anton commented that there were ‘some technical issues’, adding: ‘It wasn’t the best, but it wasn’t the worst!’
